This is the year 2020. The coronavirus has overtaken our attention suddenly and the whole world is affected. Reported to have started in Wuhan, China in December 2019, the virus spread to the rest of the world in pretty much under 2 months. Many countries and cities were unprepared for the swift viral attack and restrictions on human movement have been imposed, albeit too late in many situations. Much has been said and written about this. So what is my contribution to this? I am undertaking to write the next few essays on the topic with the view to discuss in a clear and straightforward manner about the astrological aspects that is relevant to the happenings of this year.

Why is 2020 such a special year?
​
Look at the chart above that shows where the planets are on 2 January 2020. Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury, and the South Node are congregated in Capricorn. This will not happen again for a very long time. Pluto will take more then 200 years to get back to this position. I will discuss the chart in the next few essays to explain what energies the planetary configuations are bringing to us this year in 2020.
