Snares, the Lion, is a Singaporean 'furry' - an enthusiast and fan of cartoon animal characters with human characteristics. The furry fandom's scope of activities extend a broad spectrum of creative interests from art, music, writing and costuming (fursuiting). Snares is a furry author and comic artist who believes that there are no limits to self-expression, and parading in a lion costume is merely an extension of that belief. At Pink Dot 2016, his presence evidently brought cheers and smiles to everyone, as shown in this set of photographs. Whether it's showing off muscles in a tight tank top, or sashaying in his tutu, Snares wants to show that as long as you love yourself, you don't have to be afraid of showing who you are. As a lion, there is nothing more important than finding one's pride.
