This is one of my favourite photos on this page. The branches in the foreground is sharp to create a sense of nearness to the tree itself. The blurring in the distant leaves and sky gives a sense of mystery. The earth colours could either tell the story of a warm humid night, or even a chilly early winter night in a place far away from Singapore. I feel an overall sense that this is in a lonely forest even though this was taken along a major, busy road.
The photo sometimes appears as if it's a painting, especially because of the blurring effect in the night sky.
